Information and Communication Technology (ICT):
|Implement teaching strategies for using ICT to expand curriculum learning opportunities for students.||Use effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make selected content relevant and meaningful.||Model high-level teaching knowledge and skills and work with colleagues to use current ICT to improve their teaching practice and make content relevant and meaningful.||Lead and support colleagues within the school to select and use ICT with effective teaching strategies to expand learning opportunities and content knowledge for all students.|
In conjunction with integrating ICT into Health and Physical Education I have been lucky enough to teach a year 7 ICT class. I have become familiar with the website/portal called “Connect”. This enables students to access any course work or course updates via the internet and allows them to develop their ICT capabilities on a daily basis. All of the year 7 ICT class course work and documents were uploaded and chronologically ordered for ease of access. Each student would log on to “Connect” every lesson and work solely from a computer with internet access. The use of pens and pencils was not necessary, allowing me to use effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make selected content relevant and meaningful.
